- Sports production-ready body panels
- Road-oriented variant
- Features road tyres, tyre-hugging front fender and tall windscreen
The KTM 790 Adventure has once again been spotted undergoing trials in Europe. Although the motorcycle looks essentially the same, this particular test mule sported different set of accessories and wheels.
The production version of the 790 Adventure looks surprisingly similar to the concept that made its debut at the EICMA Show in Italy, last year. However, this particular bike featured road-biased tyres and a tyre-hugging front fender as opposed to the raised fender seen on previous test mules. It also gets a taller windscreen and revised headlamp cowl. All of these hint that the test mule is a road-oriented variant of the 790 Adventure. The rest of the bike, including the cycle parts, is identical to the other test mules we have seen so far.
At the heart of the 890 Adventure is a 799cc parallel-twin engine that engine produces 103bhp and 86Nm of torque in the 790 Duke. It is mated to a six-speed transmission with a bi-directional quickshifter. The 790 Adventure will debut at the 2018 EICMA, and will go head-on against the Triumph Tiger 800 XCx and the BMW F 850 GS.
