-KTM 790 Duke to be launched soon
-Arrives at a few dealerships
-Expected to be priced around Rs 8.5 lakhs to Rs 9 lakhs
KTM is expected to launch the 790 Duke in India soon and the middleweight naked motorcycle has already begun reaching dealerships.
The 790 Duke will be brought in the country via the CKD (Completely Knocked Down) route and is expected to be available in limited numbers. KTM will be pricing the bike aggressively around Rs 8.5-9 lakhs which will put it bang in the middle of its biggest rivals; the Triumph Street Triple S and Street Triple RS that cost Rs 9.19 lakhs and Rs 11.13 lakhs each.
Powering the bike is a 799cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine that has been newly developed for the 790 Duke. The motor churns out 105bhp of max power and 86Nm of peak torque and comes mated to a six-speed gearbox and bi-directional quick shifter. And with a dry weight of 169kg, the KTM 790 Duke has a colossal power to weight ratio. Moreover, the bike’s electronic package comes with lean-sensitive traction control, cornering ABS, launch and wheelie control along with riding modes that include a ‘Supermoto mode’ similar to the current-gen 390 Duke.
Currently, dealerships are accepting bookings for the 790 Duke for a varying token amount of Rs 20,000-Rs 50,000.
