- Regional qualifiers to be held in eight cities across India
- City winners to compete at the MMRT, Chennai
KTM surprised its fans at this year’s India Bike Week by announcing the new RC Cup one-make racing championship. This racing tournament intends to give amateur racers a platform to showcase their talent and learn from the KTM expert riders.
The RC Cup is a part of KTM’s Pro-XP program which, apart from the aforementioned racing championship, offers other riding experiences involving off-roading and touring. The RC Cup will be a multi-city event with its regional qualifiers to be hosted in eight cities including Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Delhi, Chennai, Coimbatore, Bangalore, Hyderabad and Kolkata. The entire tournament will comprise over 250 races with an overall participation of more than 1000 racers. Following the regional qualifiers, the champions of each city will battle against each other at the MMRT, Chennai for the national title.
The rewards for the top three winners of the RC Cup will be profoundly exciting. They will get a chance to visit Motohall at Mattighofen, Austria and learn the nitty-gritty of racing from KTM experts. Furthermore, the prize also involves an interaction with KTM Racing Factory athletes and an opportunity to watch a MotoGP race live. Online registrations for the KTM RC Cup one-make championship will open soon.
