KTM is working on a range of motorcycles, that’ll come into the production in the next few years. In fact, we all know that the company is working on a new 800cc parallel twin engine that would power new bikes.
We always knew that there’s a new Duke 800 in the making, which will eventually replace the mad Duke 690. But interestingly, there’s a new adventure motorcycle coming our way as well, which will be powered by the upcoming 800cc parallel twin engine. This news was confirmed by Stefan Pierer, CEO, KTM to MCN in an interview.
While the top honcho refused to get into detail for this new adventure bike, he went on to say that this new KTM adventure will compete with the successful Honda Africa Twin. And if this happens, the adventure bike segment is surely going to get very interesting and competitive. But will this new bike come to India? Well, it’s too early to comment on that. But during the RC range launch in India, Pierer had confirmed that they plan to launch the Adventure 1050 in India via the completely-knocked-down (CKD) route. So KTM, when will we see that bike in our country?
