- Spotted in production-ready form
- Styling identical to concept shown at 2017 EICMA
- Powered by a 100 horsepower parallel-twin engine
A production ready version of the KTM 790 Adventure has been spotted testing in Europe. A bunch of styling cues has been carried over from the concept shown at 2017 EICMA Show, although a few have been toned down to make the bike production-feasible.
The 790 Adventure sports an upswept exhaust, bash plate, a bulging lower fairing, raised front mudguard and LED headlamps, all borrowed from the concept. However, it gets split seats in place of the single-piece seat, a headlamp visor and the conventional exhaust in place of the Akrapovic unit. It even features a tall windscreen to improve wind protection. The 790 Adventure is powered by the same 799cc parallel-twin engine as the 790 Duke. That engine produces 103bhp and 86Nm of torque and is mated to a six-speed transmission.
The production version of the 790 Adventure will debut at the 2018 EICMA. It will compete against the likes of the Triumph Tiger 800 XCx and the BMW F 850 GS.
