The KTM website now displays a Duke 390 wearing a black paint scheme but dealers still do not have any update from the manufacturers as to when the motorcycle will be available for sale in the new colour.
Apart from the motorcycle being currently available in white, KTM has made subtle changes to the Duke 390’s appearance by giving it a new look as well. The evident change is the black paint seen on the part of the headlamp unit, tank and rear cowl. A closer look at the images, available on the manufacturer’s website, reveals the naked motorcycle sporting new decals as well, but what remains unchanged is the trademark orange-coloured trellis frame and alloys.
The Duke 390, the most anticipated motorcycle of the year, was launched by Bajaj Auto in June 2013 to bridge the gap between the 200cc and 600cc motorcycles available in the Indian market. With no other competition in sight, the motorcycle is enjoying a high demand here resulting in waiting periods for up to three months for delivery. However, this is not what the dealers say. They are now claiming that the Duke 390 can be made available within a month’s time for a prospective buyer. We can expect the motorcycle to be available in the new black scheme in time for the New Year.
