- To get traction control update
- Bikes under warranty can receive the software update for free
- Others might have to pay Rs 236 for the change
The 2022 KTM 390 Adventure recently made its debut in India. It brought a new paint scheme, new 5-spoke alloys with more strength than the previous 6-spoke units and a few software updates including traction control modes. However, this meant that the older models were left out. Well, not anymore.
As per our dealer/service centre sources, all the previous KTM 390 Adventure models (2019-2021) can be updated with the new traction control system. That said, bikes under warranty will receive the update for free whereas the ones with expired warranty could be charged Rs 236 for the said update.
With the software tweak, the bike will get two traction modes: Street and Offroad. The latter allows you to play around with the rear tyre slip a bit more than the Street mode. All the other features remain the same. We reached out to KTM India for the same but are yet to receive an official confirmation from the brand on the same. Asking price for the 2022 KTM 390 Adventure is set to Rs 3,28,500 (ex-showroom Delhi).
