- 250 Adventure low seat height variant launched
- Priced at R 2.47 lakh
- Bookings have commenced
KTM India has launched a lower seat height variant of the 250 Adventure – its most affordable ADV in India. This variant has been priced at Rs 2.47 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
A few weeks ago, the Austrian brand launched the lower seat height variant of the 390 Adventure. The company has been doing this as it has received customer feedback. The current seat height of the 250 Adventure is 855mm, which makes it difficult for shorter riders. But now, with the low seat height of 834mm, the 250 Adventure is far more accessible to Indian buyers.
The rest of the cycle parts remain unchanged on this motorcycle. The 249cc engine is the same, delivering maximum output of 29.6bhp at 9,000rpm and a peak torque of 24Nm at 7,500rpm—the six-speed gearbox benefits from a slipper clutch mechanism. The feature list remains unaltered, and the 2023 KTM 250 Adventure uses a halogen headlight with LED DRLs, an LED taillight, and LED turn indicators. The ride-related data is displayed on a fully-digital LCD instrument cluster. Apart from the ride-related information, this display also shows average speed, distance-to-empty, and a gear-position indicator. Meanwhile, the electronics on this motorcycle comprise dual-channel ABS with off-road, a slipper clutch, and a 12V socket.
The suspension setup on the motorcycle comprises 43mm upside-down front forks and a preload-adjustable rear mono-shock. The anchoring setup includes a 320mm single disc with a radially-mounted calliper at the front and a 230mm single rotor with a floating calliper at the back. The motorcycle is built around a tubular split-trellis frame with a bolted sub-frame, and it tips the weighing scale at 177kg (kerb).
With this new variant, KTM is likely to increase the overall sales of the bike as the bike is far more accessible.
