- KTM teases launch on 26 September
- Likely to be special editions of the RC range
- Could be based on MotoGP livery
KTM India has released a video teasing the launch of a new motorcycle on 26 September. While the teaser does not reveal much, the transition from street to racetrack hints at it likely being the KTM RC range that includes the RC 125, RC 200 and RC 390.
We can expect this to be a special edition rather than a completely new motorcycle. That said what better livery to derive from than the KTM RC16 MotoGP machine? The timing for the launch is spot-on and comes just a couple of days after MotoGP confirmed its arrival in India in 2023. Apart from a unique livery, the KTM RC range is likely to remain the same in terms of its bodywork, engine and features as well.
Now, the standard RC 125 which is the most affordable of the lot is priced at Rs 1.88 lakh. The RC 200 costs Rs 2.14 lakh whereas the RC 390 will set you back by Rs 3.16 lakh (all prices ex-showroom). However, the upcoming special-edition models are likely to cost more.
