This is something new for us. KTM might be in the process of developing a V4 road bike.
As per Visordown, a KTM test rider was recently spotted riding the Aprilia Tuono V4R, which was heavily camouflaged. While there are no pictures to prove this claim, but as per them the bike is being ridden by various KTM test riders near the KTM facility in Spain.
In order to make this difficult to guess, the Austrian manufacturer has used a slightly bigger screen on the bike –a way through which the company doesn’t want to show the worldwhat they are working on. But is quite normal for motorcycle manufacturers to test each others bikes. It’s more like a benchmark for each other. During the development phase, each manufacturer wants to make sure that their new product should outperform the closest competitor, and in order to do this, they need to knowthe tiniest details on the bike. But as per the same report, this development could be at a very early stage. It's also speculated the firm may want to use a V4 engine in a new high-performance road-biased adventure bike, to compete with BMW's forthcoming S1000XR.
Stay tuned to BikeWale as we get you more exciting information from the Austrian manufacturer.
