-KTM RC 125 available in two paint schemes
-Powered by 124cc, single-cylinder engine
-Bookings have begun in 470 dealerships across India
KTM recently introduced the RC 125 in India with a price tag of Rs 1.47 lakhs (ex-showroom). And the motorcycle is being offered in two, dual-tone colours.
While one paint scheme features white and black body panels with orange highlights, the other is a combination of black and orange. Both paint schemes come with black-finished tubular trellis frame as opposed to the orange frames on the RC 200 and RC 390. However, it continues to sports orange-painted wheels like the rest of the RC range. KTM has been manufacturing the RC 125 in India for quite some time now but was exporting it to other countries before its launch here. Interestingly, the colour schemes available in international markets are completely different from the ones offered in India; a first for KTM.
The RC 125 can be booked in all of the 470 KTM showrooms across the country with deliveries to commence by the end of this month. As for specifications, the RC 125 is powered by a 124cc, single-cylinder engine that produces 14.3bhp at 9,250rpm and 12Nm at 8,000rpm. Apart from the engine it also borrows cycle parts from its sibling, the 125 Duke. It gets inverted forks up front and a monoshock at the rear and disc brakes at both ends that take care of bringing the bike to a halt. In terms of competition, it goes against the Yamaha YZF-R15 V3 in the country which costs Rs 1.39 lakhs (ex-showroom).
