- KTM RC 125 and RC 390 receive a new price hike
- Most of the KTM offerings become dearer
KTM has recently revised the prices of most of its offerings in India. We have already reported about the price hike received by the Duke series and the 390 Adventure. Now, in case you’re planning to buy either the RC 125 or the RC 390, it’s worth noting that these bikes too have become slightly more expensive now.
The smaller RC 125 has become dearer by Rs 1,280 as it carries a price tag of Rs 161,101 now. As for the larger RC 390, with the new price of Rs 256,917, it demands a premium of Rs 3,537 over the previous pricing (both prices are ex-showroom, Delhi). Thankfully these hikes aren’t as substantial as that received by the 390 Duke which has become costlier by Rs 8,515 now.
While the RC 125 is the ideal gateway for the young riders to join the premium KTM family, the RC 390 is a quintessential track tool with oodles of performance on tap. Both bikes sport an identical body work, with varying paint schemes being the only differentiating factor. Powering the baby RC is a 125cc, liquid-cooled motor which churns out 14.5bhp and 12Nm. Meanwhile, the larger supersport runs on a 373cc unit which belts out a meaty 42.3bhp and 35Nm. Both RCs get a six-speed gearbox but the latter comes equipped with a slipper clutch.
Competing against the KTM RC 125 is the Yamaha YZF R15 V3, while locking horns with the RC 390 is the TVS Apache RR 310.
