KTM RC 125 Review Image Gallery

We recently rode the KTM RC 125 around the manufacturer’s testing track in Chakan, near Pune. We bring to you excerpts from the review in the form of a detailed image gallery.

The KTM RC 125 sports the same sharp bodywork as its more powerful siblings, the KTM RC 200 and RC 390. The motorcycle also uses the same tubular steel trellis frame as the other RCs.

It gets a uniquely-styled windscreen which also aids in aerodynamics and the distinctive headlamp setup that consists of projector lamps and LED DRLs. The rear-view mirrors have been borrowed from the bigger RCs and sport integrated turn-signals.

This design language is also continued in the motorcycle’s aggressive riding stance. It gets rear-set foot pegs, clip-on handlebars and a contoured tank that allows the rider a completely tucked-in position.

The RC 125 features a unique pillion seat which is meant to replicate a race cowl. The sharp rear section of the motorcycle also sits on a trellis subframe and incorporates an LED tail lamp.

KTM sells the RC 125 in international markets too. However, the India-spec model gets different colour schemes which include a white and black option with orange highlights along with an orange and black combination. And it also sports an underbelly exhaust, unlike the international model’s exhaust canister.

Powering the KTM RC 125 is a 124cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine similar to the 125 Duke. The motor produces 14.3bhp at 9250rpm and 12Nm at 8000rpm. It comes mated to a six-speed gearbox and final chain drive.

As compared to other 125cc motorcycles in the market, the RC 125 is highly-equipped in terms of cycle parts. It gets inverted forks up front and a monoshock at the rear sourced from WP and disc brakes at both ends held on by ByBre callipers. The braking setup is further aided by a single-channel ABS.

However, KTM has pegged the RC 125 at Rs 1.47 lakhs (introductory, ex-showroom). And at the same price bracket, it competes with the more powerful and better spec Yamaha YZF-R15 V3 which is priced at Rs 1.39 lakhs.
