KTM surprised Indonesian fans and enthusiasts last week by opening online registrations for the RC 390 through their website. However, the bookings are limited to 390 hours and will continue till November 24 only.
The bookings can be made through www.ktmindonesia.com, while the motorcycle is expected to go on sale in early 2015. The bike will be exported to the Indonesian market from India and is expected to cost IDR 100 million. Currently, only the RC 390 can be booked but we expect the manufacturer to soon open registrations for the RC 200 as well.
The RC 390 is the fully-faired version of the Duke 390 and is powered by a 375cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine that churns out 43bhp of power and 35Nm of torque. Similarly, the RC 200 is the faired version of the Duke 200 and is powered by the 199.5cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled mill that produces 25bhp of power and 19.2Nm of torque. While the RC 200 misses out on the ABS, the RC 390 comes equipped with ABS and Metzeler tyres as standard.
The Austrian manufacturer recently launched the RC 390 and RC 200 in India and the duo have received an overwhelming response here. We tested both the machines on Bajaj's private test track at Chakan and the initial impressions are superb. You can check the road tests of both the bikes by clicking on the following links.
