- KTM RC 390 spotted adorning new paint scheme
- Started reaching dealer stockyards
- Was available in a single colour only
KTM is going to introduce a new colour option for its supersport, the RC 390, in India soon. Ahead of an official announcement, the new colour variant was spotted at a dealer stockyard. At present, the company offers the RC 390 only in a single paint scheme and the introduction of a new shade will give buyers more variety.
The spotted version of the RC 390 sported a combination of matte grey, white and black shades with the edgy ‘RC’ decal running across the fuel tank and fairing. Interestingly, this colour variant gets orange wheels and black frame, as opposed to the black wheels and orange fairing of the existing model.
KTM has also rolled out a new paint scheme for the smaller RC 200 which was recently sighted. The Austrian bike maker is introducing these colours to keep the product fresh, but only for time being. Majorly overhauled derivatives of the RC models are in the works and they have been spied testing a couple of times. We’ll get to see an all-new design, lesser committed ergonomics, new features and perhaps a reworked engine.
The KTM RC 390 is powered by a 373cc, single cylinder, liquid-cooled motor which produces 42.3bhp and 35Nm. Sending power to the rear wheel is a six-speed transmission system assisted by a slipper clutch. Underpinned by a steel trellis frame, it is suspended by upside down forks and a monoshock while braking is handled by a disc at both ends with dual-channel ABS.
KTM retails the RC 390 for Rs 2.53 lakh (ex-showroom) in India and it goes up against the TVS Apache RR 310.
