- 2021 KTM RC 390 likely to be launched soon
- Will get new styling
- Expected to be priced at Rs 2.80 lakh
The 2021 KTM RC 390 is likely to be launched in India sooner than we expected. While the manufacturer has been spotted testing the next-gen RC 390 a couple of times, it has now removed the 2020 model from its Indian website.
The new RC 390 receives a number of changes, the biggest being a change in ergonomics. KTM’s RC range has always had an aggressive riding position but the next-gen RC 390 offers a slightly more upright posture similar to its rival- the TVS Apache RR 310. Apart from this, the next-gen RC 390 will also come with new styling and bodywork. Going by the spy images we know that it will ship with a full-LED headlamp that looks eerily similar to KTM’s now discontinued RC8 superbike.
It will also sport a revised frame, sub-frame and wheels along with new seats and an exhaust canister. Moreover, we can also expect the new KTM RC 390 to be equipped with a TFT instrument cluster like the 390 Duke as well as a quickshifter as standard. Nevertheless, it could also get a slightly revised version of the 373cc, single-cylinder engine as well.
As for pricing, KTM recently increased the cost of its entire range including the 2020 RC 390. While the current-gen is priced at Rs 2.65 lakh, we can expect the new model to demand a price of around Rs 2.80 lakh.
