Every motoring enthusiast in India has been eagerly awaiting the latest RC series from KTM. Spy testing pictures of the RC200 and RC390 were seen on many websites but no concrete information about the launch could be gleaned. The only thing we know is that KTM will launch the RC200 and the RC390 in India, whereas the RC125 will be exported from here.
Now, thanks to Team Duker Facebook page, we have managed to see two pictures which look like the production facility of Bajaj’s Chakan plant. The Chakan plant is where Bajaj manufactures KTM Duke 125, 200 and the 390 Duke ABS and exports it to various international markets including Austria. During the unveiling of the KTM RC series, the top management of the Austrian manufacturer had confirmed that these new fully-faired bikes will be manufactured at Bajaj’s Chakan plant as well.
In both the pictures we can see the production ready RC125 and the RC390 parked inside the manufacturing facility. All the RC bikes are missing rear seats. This makes us think either the company is preparing to export the first few lots of these new bikes to Europe or it is preparing to dispatch these bikes to Indian dealers after the launch which might be around the corner. But we would like to believe it’s the former as our sources have informed us about a possible third quarter launch.
We would like to thank the person who clicked these pictures. This has given us a lot of insight into the possible launch but we also hope he doesn’t lose his job with this brazen act.
