KTM is preparing itself to hit the MotoGP racetrack soon. Its most anticipated motorcycle, the RC16, has been revealed for the first time.
KTM Sporting Director and former Motocross World Champion Heinz Kinigadner posted the pictures of the RC16 prototype being ridden at the Red Bull Ring in Austria. We all know that the Austrian manufacturer will enter the enthralling MotoGP in 2017. This was announced soon after the company revealed its development plan of a new V4 MotoGP platform. Interestingly, there will be a road legal version as well, which will be sold for a big chunk of cash but will be detuned to deliver less power, just like the Honda RC213V,
Like the rest of the KTMs, the RC16 also gets a steel trellis frame. This bike is powered by a new V4 engine, making it the most powerful KTM. As per the posted pictures, the bike gets an Akrapovic exhaust, WP suspension setup and Brembo brakes.
We are quite excited to see this machine and are expecting it to be revealed next month at the 2015 EICMA, which will be held in Milan, Italy. Stay tuned.
