Most of us know how KTM India has been teasing their soon to be launched RC range of motorcycles in India through various testing activities in and around Pune. We have managed to find another spy shot of the RC200 that was being tested in Pune.
While the company has been tight lipped about the official launch of the RC200, our sources informed us that the launch is expected to happen sometime in September. Bajaj has manufactured around 20 units of this motorcycle at their Chakan facility and most of them have made their way to Austria – the home base of KTM.
The RC 200 is powered by a 200cc single cylinder four-stroke liquid cooled engine that is mated to a six-speed transmission. This engine produces 25bhp. Borrowed from the Duke 200, the RC 200 also gets WP telescopic upside down front fork suspension, mono-shock rear suspension, powder coated tubular space frame made from steel tubes. ABS is standard on the RC 200 which is pretty good for a rider’s safety.
The KTM RC200 is expected to be priced Rs 30,000 above the Duke 200. There is a high chance the company will launch the RC390 along with the RC200, which is a good news for motorcycle enthusiasts who have been waiting for these machines to hit Indian roads.
