KTM has recalled its adventure bikes in Europe due to a potential brake problem. The 1190 Adventure, 1190 Adventure RS and the 1290 Super Adventure bikes are a part of this recall.
This recall is a result of the ABS modulator failing due to normal operation. The company says that in some cases contact may occur between the wiring harness and the ABS modulator, resulting into short-circuit of the ABS unit.
The dealers of KTM have started contacting the affected owners and have asked them to get the bike for inspection. The technicians will check the routing of the wiring harness to check for any potential issues.
