MotoGP machines are one-offs that contain a ton of trade secrets, which is why they are kept under wraps. However, in the age of information technology, sometimes it pays off to reveal a little. That is exactly what the KTM MotoGP team is doing on the run up to its MotoGP debut. In a video series on the internet, it is detailing the different aspects of the MotoGP machine. Called the 'Road to Qatar' series, it gives some interesting insights into the development of a MotoGP team.
The first video focuses on the engine - from concept to testing. A few of the people involved have been interviewed, but what has us excited are the bits that let the sound of the engine under full throttle through. Turn the volume up for this one, we say.
KTM will debut its RC16 MotoGP contender at the last race of this year, at Valencia, as a wild card entry. It sports a V4 engine that at the very least sounds the business. You can watch the video here.
