KTM has shown a 25 per cent annual volume growth in sales in the last three years. This development also shows that the Bajaj-KTM alliance has proved fruitful for both companies.
At the end of 2014, KTM held a market share of 8.7 per cent in Europe and around 4.8 per cent in United States. The company is slowly emerging as a popular brand in India, China and Malaysia as the sales volumes have been growing at an annual rate of 25 per cent over the last three years. In the coming two years, this contribution is expected to increase to 10-11 per cent of the consolidated net profit of Bajaj Auto. The manufacturer's sourcing from our country will also be boosted by 60-65 per cent.
The main reason behind the company tasting such success is mainly because of the brand's new product launches with the support from Bajaj. The company exported 53,000 KTM motorcycles this fiscal in comparison to the 24,000 units they sold in the last fiscal. This 121 per cent increase shows KTM's boost in volume growth which is only expected to get better in the years to come.
