- 2021 Super Adventure S breaks cover
- Receives lot of big upgrades
- Equipped with radar-based system
KTM has pulled the wraps of its flagship adventure bike, the 2021 Super Adventure S. This ADV has now received some mechanical as well as some cosmetic upgrades.
The 1301cc motor has been updated to meet Euro 5 now. The overall power output is still similar at 160bhp, making it one of the most powerful in the segment. Interestingly, this engine is now a few kgs lighter, thanks to thinner engine cases and revised oil circulation network. The frame gets some revision too with the steering head moved back by 15mm. The swingarm is now a bit longer.
The overall ergonomics have been changed marginally to increase the overall comfort. The Austrian maker has also made changes to the bodywork to make it more aerodynamic. Other than these changes, the bike also gets new fuel tank, lower seat height and new windscreen.
In terms of electronics, the 1290 Super Adventure S now gets adaptive cruise control. This radar- based system automatically adjusts the distance to the traffic ahead. In fact, this system can be managed through five different settings.
The 2021 Super Adventure S is bound to be more expensive than the current model. Will it come to India? Not anytime soon. But yes, we can expect the 890 Adventure in India later this year.
