- Features a side-slung exhaust
- Priced at IDR 5.09 crore (Rs 2.4 lakhs)
- Costs Rs 9,640 more than standard variant
KTM has showcased a special edition variant of their quarter-litre sportbike, christened as the RC 250 SE, at the 2018 Jakarta Fair in Indonesia.
The RC 250 is essentially a fully-faired version of the 250 Duke streetfighter that is sold in India. The RC 250 SE features a side-slung exhaust canister in place of the underbelly exhaust in the standard model. This exhaust is similar to the one in the 390 Duke. KTM claims that apart from a racier sound note, this exhaust adds 1bhp to the power output of the motorcycle. There are other cosmetic or mechanical upgrades in the SE.
Side-slung exhausts enjoy a better demand among the Indonesian audience as compared to underbelly systems. The RC 250 SE is the second special edition KTM model to feature this exhaust system after the 200 Duke. KTM has launched the RC 250 SE in Indonesia at IDR 5.09 crore (Rs 2.4 lakhs), which makes it Rs 9,640 pricier than the regular model. We do not expect the RC 250 or the SE to be introduced here anytime soon.
