- Kymco Dink 125 and 150 break cover
- Come with maxi-scooter styling and 11.5bhp motor
- Will not be launched in India
Taiwanese two-wheeler manufacturing giant has unveiled a scooter that would ideally compete against the Suzuki Burgman Street 125 in India. Called the Dink, the scooter is available in two versions- 125 and 150.
Now the Kymco Dink sports a maxi-scooter styling with a flat footboard to make things more convenient. With a somewhat radical fascia that reminds one of the Ducati Multistrada V4, the Dink gets a large windscreen and a visibly long, step-up seat. Its feature list is adequate too. The scooter comes with LED headlamp and DRLs as well as an LED tail lamp. Instrumentation is an LCD screen that is neatly divided into three sections.
Coming to its engine, the Kymco Dink 125 uses a 124cc, air-cooled, fuel-injected engine that churns out a respectable 11.5bhp. On the other hand, the 150 version offers 15bhp from its 150cc motor. That said, the scooter’s 127kg weight is on par with other 125cc scooters. It rides on 13-inch alloys with a 120/70 section tyre at the front and a 130/70 section tyre at the rear. Braking is done by discs at both ends and dual-channel ABS as standard.
While the Kymco Dink 125 is an interesting scooter, it will not be launched in India. But if you are looking for a similar option you have the Suzuki Burgman Street 125 and the Aprilia SXR 160 to choose from.
