- 400cc model to be unveiled in 2019.
- Electric scooter still in nascent stages.
- Expected to arrive in India sometime in 2019.
Italian scooter manufacturer, Lambretta has revealed that a 400cc model is in the works.
The scooter is expected to be unveiled sometime next year and will join the current line-up of the 50cc, 125cc and 169cc scooters. While no details about the 400cc model have been revealed, we can expect it to borrow its design from the V-Special model that was unveiled in 2017. Designed by KISKA, the design house for KTM and Husqvarna, the V-Special gets classic inspired styling mixed with modern features like customisable side panels and LED lighting.
Along with this 400cc model, the manufacturer is also planning to unveil an electric scooter. Lambretta is also likely to re-introduce the classic GP and SX models soon. Lambretta scooters were sold in India for 30 years before being discontinued in 1980; the brand is expected to make a comeback in the country sometime in 2019.
