KTM India has finally launched the much-awaited 390 Adventure with fully adjustable front USD forks and spoked wheels. The Austrian ADV has now become even more versatile, and here’s all you need to know about it.
What’s new on the 2023 KTM 390 Adventure?
The most significant update for the bike comes in the form of compression and rebound-adjustable USD front forks with a preload and rebound-adjustable monoshock. This suspension setup should allow the rider to tweak the springs as per his/her riding style and the terrain of choice. Apart from that, the bike also comes with a 19-inch front and a 17-inch rear, anodised, black, aluminium spoked wheels wrapped in Metzeler Tourance tyres.
The spoked wheels and tubeless tyres will help enhance the bike’s off-road capabilities as it can now be ridden on rocky terrains without worrying about the wheels like you might have with the previous alloys.
Are there any design changes to the new 390 Adventure?
The 2023 KTM 390 Adventure retains the design from the 2022 model. So, you get the same vertically stacked headlight with boomerang-shaped DRLs. Even the wide and muscular fuel tank has been carried over along with the remaining bodywork. But the bike now sports a new Rally Orange colour scheme to imitate the Austrian marquee’s Dakar bike.
Has KTM made any tweaks to the 390 Adventure’s engine?
Powering the updated model is the same 373cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled motor that makes 42.9bhp and a torque of 37Nm. It’s linked to a six-speed gearbox and benefits from a slipper clutch.
What features does the updated KTM 390 Adventure have?
Apart from LED illumination, the KTM ADV also gets a TFT screen with all the readouts like a speedometer, trip meter, odometer, fuel level readout, tachometer, engine temperature, as well as smartphone connectivity. Its list of rider aids comprises a quickshifter, traction control, cornering and off-road ABS, and ride modes.
How much does the new KTM 390 Adventure cost?
KTM has priced the 2023 390 Adventure at Rs. 3.60 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). That’s Rs. 80,000 more than the X variant and about Rs. 22,000 more than the standard model.
