-New electric roaster motorcycle in the works
-Likely based on the electric sports bike
-Expected to get a new motor and battery
Ola Electric’s two-wheeler portfolio is expected to expand in the coming years and we could see as many as three new electric motorcycles launch. While one is likely a commuter and the other a sportsbike, the third bike is a roadster that you see here.
The roadster is likely to be based on the sportsbike’s platform, sharing much of the chassis, and possibly the battery and motor as well. That said, the motor’s peak output may not be as much as the sportsbike’s and that might be the case with the battery capacity as well.
The bodywork on the bike looks properly sporty, with flat body panels and multiple crease lines. The rear subframe is quite neatly executed with its hollow elements adding to the aesthetics. As for the riding position, the height of the handlebar and placement of the footpegs suggest a sporty rider’s triangle.
Other details of the hardware that are visible include a telescopic fork and a monoshock. The wheels seem to be 17-inch alloys and these should be shod with wide and grippy tyres. As for the brakes, there is a disc at the front and the rear.
Expect Ola to offer a wide range of features such as LED lights, TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity and maybe it’ll feature navigation as well.
The bike is likely to sit between the Ola commuter motorcycle and the sportsbike. In terms of competition, it’ll go up against the Matter Aera and the Tork Kratos R
