- Web edition sold out in 3 days
- Gets special aesthetic additions
- Made for Italian market
Suzuki had unveiled a special edition of the new Hayabusa at the time of global unveil. This special edition was made only for the Italian market and was limited to just 10 units.
The deadline to book this model was March 15, but all the units were sold in a matter of just three days. This special edition is based on the black and gold variant of the Hayabusa. The company added carbon mirror covers, carbon tank pad, rim stripe and special anodized levers with the brand logo. It also gets a seat cover.
This new generation Hayabusa gets its power from a Euro5-compliant 1340cc inline four-cylinder liquid-cooled engine with ride-by-wire electronic throttle system and revised intake and exhaust mechanism. The setup is aimed to achieve enhanced output and torque in the low-to-mid speed range. The maximum power is rated at 187.7bhp at 9,700rpm while the peak torque output stands at 150Nm at 7,000rpm. The motorcycle tips the weighing scale at 264kg (kerb) while the claimed fuel economy is rated at 14.9kmpl.
We can expect the new Hayabusa to reach Indian shores sometime in next quarter. We hope this version too is assembled in India that will make the company price the product quite aggressively. And if the company manages to do that, the Hayabusa is likely to sell a lot in the country.
