The limited edition Vespa Elegante will be launched tomorrow by Piaggio India at an event in Pune. This is a new model that will get a few cosmetic changes differentiating it from the current range of Vespa scooters that include the LX 125, VX 125 and the Vespa S.
The new Vespa Elegante will be based on the VX 125 scooter from their current portfolio. Earlier, the company had launched a limited edition Vespa Esclusivo with the same standard Vespa VX 125 as the base scooter. However, the new Elegante might borrow design traits from the company's international model, Primavera, setting it apart from the rest of the range.
The Vespa Elegante will be powered by the same 125cc air-cooled engine the current Vespa is equipped with. A triangular front grille, round head light, and tubeless tyres are expected to be a part of the features of the new scooter. The retro split seat configuration might also be introduced making it the main highlight for this new model.
This new scooter is expected to be priced around Rs 79,000. The Elegante will be offered in new colours like pearl white and marrakech brown in addition to the current vibrant colour options the VX 125 is available in.
