Piaggio India has unveiled the limited edition Vespa Elegante for the Indian market. The sales of this scooter will commence on September 20 and the prices will be announced then. The company will sell a limited number of 3,500 units of this scooter.
The Vespa Elegante is a limited edition model with a few cosmetic changes differentiating it from the current range of Vespa scooters. This scooter is based on the VX 125 and the company has given it a similar treatment as it did to the limited edition Vespa Esclusivo which was launched earlier. It was also based on the same standard Vespa VX 125.
The new Vespa Elegante is powered by the same 125cc air-cooled engine that the current Vespa is equipped with. The scooter boasts of a triangular front grille, round head light and tubeless tyres, while it also gets the retro split seat configuration. Pearl white and marrakech brown are exclusive colours for this model, and the company will also offer the Vespa Elegante with the current vibrant colour options the VX 125 is available in.
The Vespa Elegante joins the LX 125, VX 125 and the Vespa S in the Indian portfolio of Vespa scooters. With the launch of this scooter, Piaggio India will add another exclusive variant like the Vespa Esclusivo to their premium scooter segment for Vespa fans in our country.
