- Honda CBR150R Repsol launched in Malaysia
- Limited to 800 units
- Will not be launched in India
Honda has taken the wraps off the CBR150R Repsol in Malaysia and is offering the motorcycle at an equivalent of Rs 2.42 lakh in the South East Asian country.
Firstly, the CBR150R Repsol Edition sets itself apart with the striking colour scheme derived from Honda’s MotoGP machine. So it sports orange all over with dashes of red and the ‘Repsol’ branding on the side and front panels. Even the wheels have been adorned in orange. But what makes it even more special is its limited-edition tag. The CBR150R Repsol Edition is limited to just 800 units in Malaysia.
However, the motorcycle remains the same apart from the exclusive livery and production number. It is powered by a 149cc, single-cylinder engine that produces 16.3bhp and 13.7Nm. In comparison, the Yamaha R15 V4 sold in India offers 18.4bhp and 14.2Nm from its 155cc single-cylinder engine. Meanwhile, the Malaysian-spec R15 V4 churns out 19.3bhp and 14.7Nm.
Now the Honda CBR150R is an interesting proposition and a worthy rival to the R15 here. However, it is unlikely to be launched in India anytime soon. But on that note, Honda is scheduled to launch a new product in the country by next month. Stay tuned as we uncover all details!
