- BMW S1000RR Isle of Man breaks cover
- Limited to just 50 units
- Gets unique paint scheme and additional equipment
BMW Motorrad France has taken the wraps off the S1000RR Isle of Man TT Edition. This special motorcycle is limited to just 50 units and is likely to be available exclusively for the European market.
So what makes it different? To begin with, the S1000RR Isle of Man TT gets a unique green paint that has been inspired by the BMW M3. To complement the paint scheme, the motorcycle also gets a tinted windscreen and yellow-tinted headlamps while the forged wheels are done in the same copper finish as the crankcases. Besides this, it also gets an ‘S1000RR Isle of Man TT’ inscribed on the fuel tank and the individual number to further justify its special edition tag.
BMW Motorrad France has also equipped the S1000RR IOMTT with bits from the Dynamic and Race packages. So it gets damping control, cruise control, and heated grips as well as the performance-enhancing M swingarm, M forged rims, Pro riding modes, and lightweight battery. And as a cherry on the cake, the BMW S1000RR Isle of Man TT is fitted with the M-line’s titanium Akrapovic exhaust as well as carbon fibre parts.
There is no revision to the engine and the BMW S1000RR Isle of Man TT edition continues to come powered by a 999c, inline-four cylinder engine that churns out an enormous 212bhp and 112Nm. As for pricing, the motorcycle has been pegged close to the M1000RR but thanks to the near-similar electronics, carbon-fiber components, and limited availability, it is sure to get Beemer fans all hyped up!
