- KTM 890 Duke Tech3 MotoGP edition revealed
- Will be limited to 100 units only
- To be sold only in France
KTM aficionados in France have a reason to rejoice now as the Austrian brand has unveiled the ultra-exclusive Tech 3 MotoGP edition of the scalpel – the 890 Duke. Only 100 units of this sassy-looking thing will ever be produced and sold only in France. Besides the highly conspicuous orange livery and bold ‘KTM’ branding, there are a few add-ons present in the Tech 3 version of the 890 Duke.
KTM has equipped this streetfighter with an Akrapovic exhaust system for more audial fun. Meanwhile, it also gets a minimalistic belly pan and a pillion seat cowl. But the highlight is inarguably the paint job that is inspired by KTM’s MotoGP Tech3 motorcycle currently ridden by Danilo Petrucci and Iker Lecuona. What’s equally interesting is that this edition is priced at 11,690 Euros (approx. Rs 10.57 lakh) in France, making it just 1,300 Euros more expensive than the standard bike.
On the hardware front, the 890 Duke Tech2 edition is just as enticing as the base trim. Powering the motorcycle is an 889cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine that churns out 113.4bhp and 92Nm. Holding this motor is a Chromium-Molybdenum-Steel frame that facilitates the bike with handling as sharp as, you’re right, a scalpel. The list of electronic aids at the rider’s disposal is also extensive with four riding modes (Rain, Street, Sport and Track), lean-angle sensitive traction control system, Motor Slip Regulation, ABS with supermoto mode and cornering ABS.
