India Yamaha Motor has announced the launch of the FZ 25 Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP Edition. This edition of the quarter-litre naked roadster, which will be available in limited numbers, has been launched in India at an ex-showroom (Delhi) price tag of Rs 1,36,800.
The changes to the MotoGP edition are limited to cosmetic upgrades. This variant gets Yamaha MotoGP branding on the tank shrouds, fuel tank, and the side panels. The Monster Energy decals are visible on the tank shrouds and the side panels. The ENEOS logo is also visible on the fuel tank. The feature list is retained from the standard model, and this limited-edition motorcycle continues to use a negative LCD instrument cluster, an LED headlight with LED DRL, under cowl, and a side-stand engine cut-off function.
The mechanical specifications, too, remain unaltered, and the Yamaha FZ 25 MotoGP edition continues to use a BS6-compliant, 249cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder motor. Linked to a five-speed transmission, the engine produces 20.5bhp of maximum power at 8,000rpm and 20.1Nm of peak torque at 6,000rpm.
