Motorcycle makers in India are slowly introducing new bikes as the economy has opened up and the business is slowly picking pace. Last month, Triumph launched the new Tiger 900 for a decent pricing. There were few other developments in the industry as well. This month, we believe it will be more action packed as more bike makers will launch new bikes along with BS6 variants of the existing models in the country. We list some of them below.
Hero XPulse
The XPulse BS6 range will be launched this month. In fact, according to our sources, the dispatches have already begun and the bikes will reach most of the showrooms by the end of this month. The pricing for the BS6 Xpulse is likely to increase as the bike is now equipped with oil cooler. The overall weight has increased as well. However, the bike is expected to be more refined and develop less issues.
Yamaha is likely to launch the BS6 FZ25 this month. The bike has received some major styling changes that make it look more aspirational. However, nothing else has been changed on the performance side, other than the BS6 update.
The Victor has always been one of the most value-for-money 110cc bikes in the country. But its BS6 variant hasn’t hit the market yet and we believe this will happen in July. The Victor is known for its no non-sense styling, smooth engine, great brakes and comfortable riding position. We are expecting TVS to launch new paint schemes with the BS6 variant.
BMW S1000XR
The S1000XR is a litre-class motorcycle that is known for its GS ergonomics and RR performance. It is positioned as a sports tourer and is loaded with top-spec electronics. The 2020 model is expected to be launched in India this month, but it will come with a price tag that is bound to make it really expensive.
