Bajaj is all set to launch the new Discover platform today. We are at the launch event and will be giving you minutes to minutes updates from the event.
The new Discover platform is likely to be a completely new platform and will become the base model for future Bajaj models. There is also a high possibility of Bajaj launching a 150cc version of the Discover that might replace the Pulsar 150 which hasn’t been doing well in the market is currently the dullest Pulsar in the entire range.
Bajaj has been trying very hard to take on the volume generating segment since many years but has been unsuccessful to take on the Splendor. We can expect some big developments to be shown by the Pune based manufacturer. The company might also launch the Discover 100M that will be positioned below the Discover 100T and will be priced close to Rs 45,000 (ex-showroom Pune).

Bajaj says 'Mileage Bikes Ka Naya Satya'!
The company is briefing about market segments, highlighting about the 125cc motorcycles, where the total volumes per month is close to 1,50,000 units a month.
The second segment Bajaj is talking about is the entry-level 100cc bikes, which accounts for close to 1,60,000 units a month.
The new bike from Bajaj will slot-in between the two segments in the premium 100cc segment that commands 45 per cent of total motorcycle sales in India.
We are now looking at the product presentation of the new Discover 100 M.
The engine of the new bike is a 102cc DTSi unit with 4 valve technology that is good for 9.3PS and has a top speed of 95kmph.
The bike has (nitrox) gas filled rear suspension - ssomething that is offered by very few of its competitors.
The new Discover 100 M is launched! The prices start at Rs 44,754 (ex-showroom Pune) for variant with drum brake. The Discover 100 M with Disc iss priced at Rs 47,699.
