We have been hearing about the Lotus and its new motorcycle division since June last year. At that time the company also announced its first offering a C-01 hyperbike. Now, Visordown has revealed the motorbike in a CG image from the factory.
The website adds that a working prototype of the vehicle is already undergoing testing. The C-01 has been designed by Daniel Simon who previously designed the ‘Lightcycle’ from the Hollywood movie ‘Tron: Legacy’.
The C-01 has been built from carbon fibre, titanium and aerospace-grade steel, all materials used in Formula 1 vehicles and will be running on a 200bhp V-twin powered by a tuned KTM engine.
The new motorcycle division, Lotus Motorcycles, is a joint project with Lotus racing partner Kodewa of Germany as well as car designer Daniel Simon and the Holzer Group.
