Royal Enfield has started shipping the new Shotgun 650 to Europe, further expanding the motorcycle’s presence in global markets. The Shotgun 650 is now available in Paris (France), London (UK), Madrid (Spain), Berlin (Germany) and Milan (Italy).
With the introduction in Europe, the Shotgun 650 joins its other 650cc platform siblings like the Continental GT 650 and the Super Meteor 650 that it is based on. It is identical to the bike sold in India, down to the colours and the specifications.
To recap, the Shotgun is Royal Enfield’s Bobber style motorcycle and it looks stunning with a low slung stance. Design elements like the fuel tank, curved fenders and the floating rider’s seat are nicely executed and on the whole this is a good-looking bike.
The Shotgun 650 uses the same 648cc, parallel-twin engine that you see in the rest of the Royal Enfield 650cc bikes. It develops 46.4bhp and 52.3Nm and is mated to a six-speed gearbox. In terms of competition, the bike goes up against the Kawasaki Eliminator 400, Vulcan S and Honda Rebel 500 in the European markets.
