Suzuki Motor Company has announced the launch of the made-in-India 2023 V-Strom SX in the Japanese market. This motorcycle will be available in Japan from 24 August, 2023. It will be available in three colours – Champion Yellow Number Two, Pearl Blaze Orange, and Glass Sparkle Black, and priced at JPY 569,800 (Rs. 3.27 lakh).
The specifications of the Japan-bound V-Strom SX 250 are identical to the India-spec model. Thus, it uses a 249cc, single-cylinder, oil-cooled engine that delivers a maximum output of 26.1bhp and a peak torque of 22.2Nm. This motor comes mated to a six-speed gearbox. Then, it rides on a 19-17-inch alloy wheel combination and are shod in tubeless tyres. Other hardware includes telescopic forks, a monoshock, and disc brakes on both wheels.
The bigger V-Strom series-inspired styling cues include a tall stance, a windscreen, a semi-fairing, knuckle guards, split seats, and a luggage rack. The feature list includes an LCD console with Bluetooth connectivity, an LED headlamp and tail lamp, and a USB charger.
In India, the V-Strom SX rivals the likes of the Royal Enfield Himalayan, KTM 250 Adventure, and the Yezdi Adventure.
