Suzuki Motor Corporation Japan has updated its portfolio with the launch of the Made-in-India 2023 Gixxer SF 250. This quarter-litre fully-faired motorcycle will be sold alongside the Gixxer 250 roadster and it has been priced at 514,800 yen (Rs 3.17 lakh). The roadster variant, for reference, is available at 4,81,800 yen (Rs 2.97 lakh).
2023 Suzuki Gixxer SF 250: Styling and Colours
The Japan-spec 2023 Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 is identical to the India-spec model. Thus, it packs a single-pod LED headlight, a full-fairing, muscular fuel tank, a step-up saddle, a twin-pod exhaust canister, and 17-inch alloy wheels. It is available in two colours in the Japanese market – Matte Stella Blue Metallic and Matte Black Metallic. Both colour options are available in India as well. However, the company has an additional paint option that is inspired by the Team Suzuki Ecstar motorcycle in our market. This paint option is currently not listed on the company’s Japanese website.
2023 Suzuki Gixxer SF 250: Engine Specifications
The mechanical specifications are similar to the India-spec motorcycle and the Japanese model, too, uses the 249cc, single-cylinder, oil/air-cooled engine that makes a maximum output of 25.4bhp at 9,000rpm and a peak torque of 22Nm at 7,300rpm. This motor is linked to a six-speed gearbox. The World Motorcycle Test Cycle (WMTC) certified fuel economy stands at 34.5kmpl. This, along with a 12-litre fuel tank, gives the motorcycle a range of over 400km per full tank.
2023 Suzuki Gixxer SF 250: Hardware
The Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 is built around a diamond-type frame and uses telescopic front forks and a preload-adjustable rear mono-shock to handle the suspension tasks. The anchoring setup comprises single disc brakes on both wheels, while the safety net includes dual-channel ABS.
2023 Suzuki Gixxer SF 250: Features
The feature list on the Japanese model comprises an LED headlight, an LED taillight, and a fully-digital instrument cluster. However, unlike the India-spec motorcycle, the Japanese model misses Bluetooth connectivity. The India-spec model, which benefits from the connectivity module, works with the Suzuki Ride Connect system. This brings additional features such as call alert with caller ID, SMS alert, WhatsApp alert, phone battery level display, speed exceeding alert, turn-by-turn navigation, and the estimated time of arrival updates.
