- Suzuki V-Strom launched in Indonesia
- No different from model sold in India
- Is powered by a 249cc, single-cylinder engine
The Suzuki V-Strom 250 SX is the manufacturer’s KTM 250 Adventure rival for the Asian market that has now been launched in Indonesia with a price tag equivalent to Rs 3.2 lakh.
For those not in the know, the adventure-touring motorcycle from Suzuki is being made in India and then exported overseas. But the V-Strom 250 SX sold in Indonesia is no different from the model sold here. Based on the underpinnings of the Gixxer 250, the V-Strom is styled to be a comfortable commuter with slight off-roading abilities that come with its dual-sport tyre. If you expect it to come with some extra suspension travel you’d be disappointed because the V-Strom continues with the same setup as the streetfighter version.
Well, powering the motorcycle is the same 249cc, single-cylinder engine too. It churns out 26.1bhp and 22.2Nm and comes mated to a six-speed gearbox. The motorcycle rides on a 19-17-inch alloy wheel combination with telescopic forks and a monoshock at the rear. Meanwhile, braking is taken care of by a single disc at both ends. As for features, the Suzuki V-Strom 250 SX gets fitments like knuckle guards, tall windscreen, and a rear luggage rack to aid its off-road character. It also gets a LCD dash with Bluetooth connectivity, an LED headlamp and tail lamp, as well as a USB charger as standard.
