- Ntorq 125 Race Edition launched in the Philippines
- First TVS scooter to be launched there
- Jupiter might be launched too
TVS has launched their sporty scooter – the NTorq 125 Race Edition, in the Philippines. The brand has decided to use the Makina Auto Show as the launch platform for this scooter.
This is the first time the Hosur-based company has introduced a scooter in the Philippines market. The company has been selling the Dazz – a 110cc step-through, for many years, but it believes there's a market for the Ntorq in that country. Regarding motorcycles, TVS sells the RR310, RTR 200 4V, and the Max 4R in the Philippines.
The Ntorq 125 gets power from a 125cc, three-valve, air-cooled engine that churns out 9.25bhp at 7,000rpm and 10.5Nm at 5,500rpm. It rides on 12-inch wheels suspended by telescopic forks and a monoshock. The braking is handled by a disc at the front and a drum at the rear. There's also a drum brake on offer, but the Race Edition is the best-looking variant.
We can also expect TVS to launch the Jupiter range in the Philippines. This scooter brand has been well accepted in India, and there's a high chance it could make a difference in the Southeast Asian country.
