- Honda’s 350cc range recalled in India
- Issue with wheel speed sensor, camshaft
- CB300F, CB300R recalled as well
Honda has just recalled its entire range of 300 and 350cc bikes in India. The recall is related to the wheel speed sensor and camshaft issues.
The wheel speed defect is seen on a total of five bikes – CB300F, the CB300R along with the CB350, CB350RS and the Highness CB350. The company says that due to an improper moulding procedure, water may seep into the wheel speed sensor. As a result of this, the malfunctioned sensor could cause errors in the speedometer, traction control, or ABS. This defect could lead to a potential accident due to ineffective braking. The Japanese brand hasn’t revealed the total number of bikes affected, but it did say that the affected bikes were manufactured between October 2020 and April 20224. SIAM’s recall website hasn’t been updated with this recall notice yet.
The other issue is related to the camshaft of the CB350, CB350RS and the Highness CB350. The company claims that there have been issues with improper manufacturing of this part which could affect the bike’s optimal functioning. Honda hasn’t revealed the affected numbers but the bikes have been manufactured between June 2024 and July 2024.
Honda will get in touch with the affected customers either through call, SMS or email. These customers can also check the official website to figure out if their bikes have been affected by this recall or not.
