- Official bookings to begin from 17 May
- Bookings window to open in 25 cities and districts
- Early-bird pricing is set at Rs. 1.44 lakh for the Matter Aera
Ahmedabad-based electric motorcycle manufacturer, Matter Motorcycles has announced a booking date for its first offering, the Aera. The registration window will open on 17 May for 25 cities and districts across India, including Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada, Krishna, Bengaluru, Mysore, Chennai, Coimbatore, Madurai, Mumbai, and more.
As an introductory offer, Matter has priced the Aera e-motorcycle at Rs. 1.44 lakh (ex-showroom, Ahmedabad). Interested buyers can also register for the AERA 5000 and AERA 5000+ models. The Matter e-motorcycle sports a street-fighter design with youthful styling cues. It looks sporty and practical and is oriented towards the younger generation of buyers.
The Matter Aera features an aggressive fascia with an LED headlight, sharp side panels, and a split-seat setup. Its trellis frame is slightly exposed, and the motor and battery are nestled in the centre. Even the alloys on the Matter EV are quite distinct.
Matter has powered the Aera with a 5kWh fixed battery mated to a 10kW motor. It even receives a four-speed gearbox to offer a similar experience as a petrol bike and gets a claimed range of 125km. Like a lot of other EVs, the Aera, too, comes loaded with features like three riding modes – eco, city, and sport – a fully digital instrument console with smartphone connectivity for navigation, calls, and message alerts, riding statistics, keyless operation, and OTA updates.
As of now, there’s only one reliable and affordable electric motorcycle on sale in India, and that’s the Revolt RV 400.
