- New Royal Enfield Thunderbird spied
- Gets different bodywork and mechanicals
- Likely to be more affordable variant
The Royal EnfieldThunderbird range is likely to get a more affordable variant soon. This motorcycle sports different components and styling as compared to the version which was spied a couple of months back.
It gets a revised single-piece seat, new side panels and grab rails along with a completely new fuel tank that features the fuel lid in the centre. Moreover, the new Thunderbird was also fitted with a large engine crash guard and pannier rack on the right side. In terms of mechanicals, Royal Enfield has shifted the chain to the left and the rear brake to the right side. It also gets blacked out rear shocks and slightly different forks upfront which feature fork gaiters.
While engine details are unavailable, we can expect the new Thunderbird to come equipped with a BS6-compliant version of the 346cc, single-cylinder engine. It could be positioned below the standard Thunderbird BS6 that is yet to be launched.
