- Available in two variants
- Prices start from Rs 1.07 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi)
TVS Motor Company has revealed the 2021 Apache RTR 160 4V. The latest iteration of the naked roadster makes more power than its predecessor, pumping out 17.4bhp as against 15.6bhp on the old model. The peak torque output is rated at 14.73Nm. The 159.7cc, single-cylinder, oil-cooled engine continues to come mated to a five-speed gearbox. The 2021 model also sheds two kilograms over its predecessor.
The changes are limited to the mechanical upgrades. The styling, on the other hand, remains unaltered, and the 2021 TVS Apache RTR 160 4V continues to feature an aggressive design that comprises an LED headlight with LED DRLs, an LED taillight, a muscular fuel tank with chequered flag decal, single-piece saddle, an engine cowl, and a sporty pillion grab rail.
The cycle parts, too, remain identical to the old model, and the 2021 Apache RTR 160 4V continues to use telescopic front forks and a rear mono-shock to perform the shock absorption duties. The anchoring setup on the premium model includes petal-type discs on both wheels while the base version uses a drum brake at the rear. The safety net is provided by a single-channel ABS on both variants.
The motorcycle will be available in three colours – Racing Red, Knight Black, and Metallic Blue. The base model, which will use a drum setup on the rear wheel, has been priced at Rs 1.07 lakh while the disc brake variant retails for Rs 1.10 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
