- Kawasaki Z400 RS likely to be unveiled soon
- Will be based on Z400
- No word about its India launch yet
Kawasaki only just took the wraps off the Z650 RS, which is based on the Z900 RS, in international markets as well as India. And according to a report, the Japanese manufacturer is likely to include an even smaller and affordable version of the same in the form of the Z400 RS.
While there is no confirmation about its existence yet, it would be based on the naked Z400. However, as we have seen with the other RS models, it is expected to come with retro flavour like a round headlamp and mirrors, chrome elements, single-piece seat, and a classic-inspired paint scheme. Underneath, however, the Z400 RS would come powered by the same 399cc, parallel-twin engine with 47.5bhp and 38Nm.
And just like what its bigger siblings have done, the Z400 RS is expected to come equipped with the same suspension and braking hardware as well as a feature list. If it is in the works, we can further expect it to make its debut by the end of the year at the EICMA. And it is likely to be introduced in India by 2022 at a price tag way higher than its closest competitor- the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650.
