-Bajaj sells 40,000 units of Pulsar 125
-Is also available in a split-seat variant
Bajaj had launched its most affordable offering in the Pulsar range, the Pulsar 125 in August this year with prices starting at Rs 64,000. Now, the manufacturer has announced that it has sold over 40,000 units of the motorcycle so far.
The Pulsar 125 is offered in three variants. There is the standard variant with a drum brake priced at Rs 64,000 and a disc brake variant that costs Rs 66,618. The third variant sports a split-seat, different graphics, and underbelly engine cowl and is pegged at Rs 70,618. However, it is currently available only in select states across India.
The design of the Pulsar 125 has been inspired by the Pulsar 150. It sports a conventionally-lit headlamp with twin pilot lamps and a sharp tail section which houses a unique split-seat setup. The motorcycle comes powered by a 124cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled carburetted motor that churns out 11.8bhp and 11Nm. It comes mated to a five-speed gearbox.
Braking hardware on the disc brake variant consists of a 240mm disc at the front while the other model uses a 170mm drum for the front. Meanwhile, all variants use a 130mm drum at the rear along with CBS as standard. The Pulsar 125 uses telescopic forks upfront and twin shocks at the rear. As for colour options, the drum and disc variants are offered in three colours while the split-seat version is available in two paint schemes.
