-Has a 2.2kWh battery pack.
-Claimed real-world range of 75km
-Takes two hours to charge from 0-80 percent
TVS has launched the most affordable iQube at Rs 94,999. This is the introductory, ex-showroom price of the variant and includes the EMPS subsidy and cashback that’s valid upto Jun 30, 2024. TVS has managed to price the scooter so low by fitting the smallest battery in the iQube range at 2.2kWh.
The company says that the battery offers a claimed real-world range of 75km and it takes two hours to charge the battery from 0-80 percent.
While this is the most affordable iQube, the features list is pretty decent. It gets a 5-inch TFT screen, turn-by-turn navigation, distance to empty, and a top speed of 75kmph. The boot space is also generous at 30-litres, and is only 2-liters less than what you get in the iQube ST variants.
With the introduction of the iQube 2.2kWh variant, the electric scooter is now available in a total of five variants. The iQube with the 2.2kWh and 3.4kWh battery pack, the iQube S with the 3.4kWh battery pack and the iQube ST in the 3.4kWh and 5.1kWh battery packs.
The addition of the low-cost iQube variant will help TVS reach a wider audience in a price-sensitive EV market. Of late several electric scooter manufacturers have launched low cost variants of their scooters, such as Ola with their S1X range. Bajaj Auto is also gearing up to launch a low-cost Chetak soon.
